Angler's Reward Wold Top is a pale pale ale style beer with a golden yellow color and a fragrant, floral aroma. The fruity notes and a herbaceous aftertaste are profuse from the abundant Cascade and Goldings hopping.
Wold Top is an award-winning brewery/farmhouse owned by Tom and Gill Mellor, located in the town of Hunmanby, East Yorkshire. The property also includes 240 hectares of cultivated land.
It is a totally eco-sustainable brewery: the water for brewing is drawn from the well in the heart of the farm and the electricity is produced by two wind turbines.
The brews are mainly produced with local ingredients, the water is rich in precious mineral salts and the barley is grown directly by the Mellors and then malted by a nearby company. The hops chosen are mostly of British origin.
The production methods are traditional and refer to ancient recipes aimed at creating Real Ale with character.
All beers are not pasteurized and those in bottles undergo light filtration.
