Ardnahoe has finally released its first bottling. The new Islay distillery has created a lively and exciting whisky, matured for 5 years in a combination of ex-Bourbon and ex-Oloroso casks. Bottled at 50% ABV, uncoloured and unchill filtered.
Nose: Islay peat is present and well balanced. Buttery with hints of pastry and smoke.
Palate: Creamy with notes of cooked apple, white pepper and lemon zest.
Finish: Persistent and smoky.
