A Balmenach distilled in 2001 and aged 12 years in a hogshead refill. From the Douglas of Drumlanrig series, an unfiltered cold-filtered whiskey, bottled at the grade of 46% and available on the market in 342 bottles.
Nose: Pleasant and delicate with notes of citrus and almonds.
Palate: Spicy with notes of black pepper, dark chocolate and peaches.
Final: Dry and persistent with a hint of smoke.
