A 14 year old Benrinnes selected by Chorlton Whiskey. Distilled in 2008, it matured in a bourbon barrel for 10 years and then passed into ex-sherry barrels for 4 years, until bottling in 2022. So here are 226 full grade bottles of 55%.
Nose: Aromatic and fruity, with citrus, barley, mineral tips and a kick of ginger.
Palate: Peach crumble, latte, lemonade, biscuit flour, spices and a little black pepper.
Final: Warmth of coffee, vanilla sticks and buttered bread.
