A 14 year old Blair Athol selected by North Star Spirits. Distilled in 2006, aged in an ex-bourbon hogshead cask, aged in a cask that had contained Mezcal. Bottled in 2021 at a grade of 51.1% for a total of only 72 bottles. Not cold filtered and not artificially colored.
Nose: Pleasant notes of toasted hazelnut and creme brulee.
Palate: Herbaceous and waxy, with hints of fresh lemon.
Final: Notes of citrus peel and dried walnuts.
