The Caperdonich distillery was decommissioned in 2002 and then demolished in 2010. Dat that time its reputation has seen a strong growth and this whiskey, selected by Càrn Mòr for the “Celebration of the cask” series, is an excellent example of how the distillery worked. Distilled on June 21, 1988 and bottled, after 29 years, in March 2013, this single malt is neither artificially colored nor cold filtered. Present on the market in only 203 bottles.
Nose: Rich with hints of hot buttered toast, mint, sugar, cinnamon and wood.
Palate: Full-bodied and well balanced with lively tropical fruits and vanilla.
Final: Fresh with herbaceous notes and ripe fruit.
