A 15 year old Craigellachie selected by the Thompson Bros. Distilled in 2006 and aged in a hogshead refill barrel; bottled at 50% for 327 specimens.
Nose: Brilliant with notes of fresh lime, mint and boiled hops. Some oils, waxes and honey cough syrup. Green grapes, freshly ground barley and custard.
Palate: Very tasty, with dry and fresh citrus peels, gooseberries, white grapes, mint, lime and almond croissants.
Final: Herbal with mint tea and citrus peel. A little oily and a persistent waxiness.
