Foursquare 2013 is the first edition of a pure single rum distilled in the double retort pot still and then aged for 2 years in ex-cognac barrels. In the 2 years of maturation the evaporation was at least 15%. A cold unfiltered rum, not artificially colored and with no added sugars. Bottled to the full grade of 64%.
Nose: Incisive and complex with hints of white pepper, ginger, oat and hazelnut.
Palate: Powerful and oily, with notes of black pepper, salty licorice and tropical scents.
Final: Moderately persistent with hints of salted caramel and a very distant smoke.
