A 13 year old Glenallachie from the Wood Finish Range series. A whiskey matured for 11 years in American Oak Barrels and then transferred to Madeira barriques that had previously contained Malvasia grapes. Not artificially colored and not cold filtered, bottled at the grade of 48%.
In 2017 the distillery was bought by Billy Walker. Unlike in the past, where most of the single malt production ended up in blended, with the arrival of the new master distiller, now almost all of the production is placed on the market as single malt.
Nose: Waves of vanilla and apricot with hints of almonds, pineapple and peach.
Palate: Fruity and vanilla, with tropical and white grape notes.
Final: Medium persistent and fresh.
