A 32 year old Glenallachie single cask. Distilled on 7 July 1989 and bottled in July 2021 at an alcoholic strength of 51.6%. From barrel no.5585, aged in a PX Puncheon, it is a limited edition of 584 bottles.
Billy Walker's meticulous approach to the selection and management of woods is the extra gear for one of the distilleries that are making the most of itself.
Nose: Deep, with intense notes of mocha and molasses, followed by heather honey, sultanas and eucalyptus.
Palate: Waves of dark chocolate, dried fruit and figs, followed by nutmeg, pineapple and orange peel.
Final: Persistent and gratifying, with hints of spices and dried fruit.
