A Glenallachie 7 year old from the new batch of the Virgin Oak Series. A matured whiskey initially aged in American oak casks, then aged for 18 months in virgin Hungarian casks. Not artificially colored and not cold filtered, bottled at the grade of 48%.
In 2017 the distillery was bought by Billy Walker. Unlike in the past, where most of the single malt production ended up in blended, with the arrival of the new master distiller, now almost all of the production is placed on the market as single malt.
Nose: Citrus and milk chocolate, with hints of cinnamon, raisins, fresh fruit and ginger.
Palate: Splashes of heather honey and cinnamon, chocolate, lemon drops and caramelized brown sugar.
