Glenallachie 8 years is a combination of ex-sherry Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso puncheon casks, with a small amount of ex-red wine cask and virgin oak. Not cold filtered, not artificially colored, bottled at the reduced degree of 46%.
In 2017 the distillery was bought by Billy Walker. Unlike in the past, where most of the single malt production ended up in blended, with the arrival of the new master distiller, now almost all of the production is placed on the market as single malt.
