A Glenburgie 2015 is the second item to keep in our WUNDERKAMMER. Element II It is a magnetic, seductive and emblematic treasure. Aged 9 years in a first fill Oloroso Sherry (cask no. #22063008), this whisky was bottled at 52.6%. Unchill filtered and uncoloured, it is available in 172 bottles.
NB This barrel was so lively that as soon as we emptied it we immediately refilled it with another whisky… But we will talk about that next year.
Nose: Nice and dusty, just the way we like it. The barrel is present and perfectly matches the character of the distillery. Candied fruit, biscuit and sultanas; balsamic and leathery notes to follow.
Palate: Creamy with notes of maple syrup, dark chocolate and clove.
Finish: Persistent, warm and spicy.
