A 13 year old Glentauchers is the second bottling of the Marble Collection launched in spring 2022: a series freely inspired by the cosmatesque floors of medieval churches. The Cosmati, one of the most important Roman marble workers of the 12th century, revolutionized the world and influenced it with their art: when we select a product we make sure that every piece is in its place and, inspired by the greats of the past, we take a step towards the future .
A whiskey which, after maturing in an Oloroso Sherry Butt, was bottled at the full degree of 54.8%. Not cold filtered and without the addition of dyes, it is available in just 120 bottles.
The label is a detail of the pavement present in the church of Santa Prassede, Rome.
Nose: Complex with hints of Sachertorte, orange peel, prunes and cinnamon.
Palate: Delicious with notes of toffee, chocolate and raisins.
Final: Moderately persistent with hints of peppery, Kentucky tobacco and dried figs.
