A 20 year old Jura bottled by That Boutique-y Whiskey Company. The fourth batch was distilled in September 1998 and matured in a single barrel, safe from the large Jura deer population. Deer aren't known for drinking whiskey, but we wouldn't miss the intimidating specimen on the label. A limited edition of 198 bottles.
Nose: Many creamy notes of vanilla and caramel, a floral malt with hints of pear jam in support, then dry oak, cinnamon and lemon cheesecake.
Palate: Pear and honey, earthy vanilla bean and fragrant wood smoke. Orange syrup, buttered bread and baked spices add depth, with passion fruit in the background.
Final: Sea salt, spices and a touch of honey.
