Lochlea Single Malt “Harvest Edition – 1st crop” is the fourth official release of Lochlea to reach the market. This is the second bottling of the first annual series of 'seasonal' limited editions, thus pandering to the passage of time that the cultivation of the land imposes. The Harvest Edition draws inspiration from the end of summer, when barley crops are ready to harvest and begin their whiskey journey. Harvest Edition is made from a combination of ex Port, ex Sherry Oloroso and ex Bourbon casks personally curated by John Campbell, and is bottled at 46%, without cold filtering or artificial colouring.
Nose: Stewed apples, pear caramels and oat biscuits, with elegant growing red fruits.
Palate: Notes of ripe strawberries, violets, toasted marshmallows, freshly cut grass and sweet cereals.
Final: Persistent fruity sweetness, with light spicy veins.
