A Speyburn 12 single cask selected by Hunter Laing for The First Editions range. Distilled in 2006 and aged for 12 years in a single ex-sherry butt cask, it was bottled at its full degree of 56.3%. Not cold filtered and without the addition of dyes, it is available on the market in only 288 bottles.
Nose: Rich with notes of sandalwood, toasted almonds, plums and wax.
Palate: Complex with fruity, caramel and plumcake notes.
Final: Medium persistent with ferrous notes, cream and cocoa.
