A Williamson 12 year old is the second bottling of Stillness: a concept inspired by the polysemy of the word STILL. It's a frame, taken on analog during our last trip to Scotland, it's an introspective moment of peace and serenity, it's an alembic, where form becomes substance.
An Islay Single Malt Scotch Whiskey first matured in an ex-bourbon cask and then aged in a refill Sherry butt. Bottled at the grade of 54.2%. Not cold filtered and without the addition of colourings, available in only 150 bottles.
The label shows a photo of the back of the distillery being bottled… Guess which one? It starts with L and ends with… G!
Nose: Rich with smoky and iodized notes; to act as co-protagonists cinnamon and orange marmalade.
Palate: If you like Laphroaig peat you are in the right place… Smoke, sea, medicinal notes and a pinch of sweetness.
Final: Persistent, with peat that supports hints of red fruits and cloves.
